BOWING
OPENING OF THE SEASON. The official opening of the rowing season will take place on Saturday next at the Star Boating Club's shed, Jervois Quay, when Sir Francis Bell, president of the 'Wellington Bowing Association, will preside. . A large attendance of members and lady friends is expected. During the war tho rowing clubs of Wellington were depleted owing to so many of their members lmviug left on active service, but a great revival is looked for, as many returned men are rowing again, and, with younger members, are filling the clubs. For Saturday interclub events have been arranged. A veterans' fouwnd returned soldiers' four will also take part. Tho fitnr Club'a returned soldiers' crew is as follows: —H. L. Evatt (stroke), W. A.
