CELEBRATION OF JUBILEE,

Although the jubilee of D Battory, New Zealand Field Artillery, occurred in 1917, it was not possible fittingly to observe tho event owing to tho war. Steps are now being taken, however, toj.arrango suitable celebrations, also to extend a welcome home t<i Brigadier-General G. S. Richardson,, an old artillery officer, and thoso past and present members of tho corps who served in the war. With this object a meeting was held in the Y.M.C.A. last dvening, Major A. J. Petherick, officer commanding tho battery, presiding. \ It decided that the gathering 'should tako the form of a dinner, to bo held about' the end of November, and the following committee was set up to make the ■ necessary arrangements:— Colonel W. H. Sefton Moorhouso, Colonel H. E. Avery, Major A. J. Petherick, Captain J. J. Clarke, Lieutenants W. H. Gibsou, H. Y. Cameron, R, Sinel. Chief Petty Officer D. Pulsford, Sergt.-Major W. It. Bock, and Sergeants H. Coombs, Pope, and Ibbotson. Later on, it is proposed that the battery shall hold'a social function to which ladies will bo invited,'
