COLONEL G. MITCHELL TO OPPOSE MR. SEMPLE. Following strong representations mado by numerous electors of all shades of political thought, apart from extreme Labour, Colonel G. Mitchell, D.5.0., has consented to contest the Wellington South seat against the sitting member. Mr. B. Semple. \ Colonel Mitchell, who saw service in Egypt, / Gallipoli, France. Belgium, and Germany, and. as a member of the .Main Body of the N.Z.E.F.,' who did not .return to the Dominion till May, 1918, had four and a half years' active service, and *was severely wounded, is at the present timo acting as Wellington district organiser for tlie Returned Soldiers' Association.
