ST. ANDREW'S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

The St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church returns for the quarter ending September 80 were considered at the session meeting this week. The communicant membership showed an increase of 27, and tho roll stands at 37f1. A. steady increase was revealed in the Sunday school figures, 154 pupils being on. the Toll. Tho 6enior -Bible classes have advanced in membership during the quarter. Work among the young peoplo shows marked progress. The Scout troop has been firmly established with 38 members. A fife and drum band has commonced work with 27 players. The gymnastic display this week was a credit to instructor and performers. An educational director, Sir. E. J. Orango, will arrive from Dunedin on Saturday, and will be welcomed in St. Andrew's Hall the same ovening. Under his diroction further progress is hoped for.
