U.Williams's chestluiit cult Humbug, who won the Juvenile Handicap at Greenmeadows Inst Saturday. Humbug is a half-brother to Pennon and Yarraldool (who was successful in the •ilejubers' Handicap at Kandwick yesterday). . Cantabile, wno was second to Humbug yesterday, also filled that position at Napier. He is. 'by Blackguard, a' brother of Tete-a-Tete. Eight and Left, tho third place-getter, is by : Merry Moment from En Parole, and carries Mr. T.- H. ■Lowry's livery/ At Bandwick yesterday. Now Zealandowned horses won tho two richest events ami one was placed third in another. In the Craven Plate, Gloaming, - at -weight-for-age, proved l his superiority over Wolaroi, Rebus, Sasanof, and Prince Veridis, who finished in that order. Seeing that Wolaroi won. the Epsom on Saturday with 9st. 81b., and Eebus the Metropolitan on Monday with 9st. 101b., Gloaming's performance in winning co easily speaki! for itself.
