TWO'JUDGES APPOINTED. Two appointments to the Native Land Court Eench to Jill the vacancies caused by the deaths 'of Judge Jackson Palmer and Judge Wilson have been approved by Cabinet. Judge 11. V. Ayson, formerly, ol' the Cook Islands Court, who has been acting in a temporary capacity for the Wairakci Native Land District, Rolorua, lins had his position made permanent, while tac-other nominee is Mr. F. O. V. Acheson, of tho Native Department. Mr. Aeheson,'who is a native of Riverton, and holds the degree of LL.M., was lust month appointed Commissioner of tho Native Land Court for New Zealand, which meant that he was authorised to perform many of tin duties, of a judge. He has now been invested with full authority as a judge of tho. Court,
