LONDON WOOL SALES. (ltce. October 6, 7.45 p.m.) Lor.'tlon, October 5. The wool sales closed firm. A total of 200,000 bales wub catalogued, practically all being sold, although extreme priccs were not fully maintained during tlie laßt few days, owing to uneasiness due to tha strike. . All round tlie prices weJe considerably above tbe August ratcß. Best merinos sold at huge prices, mostly to America, ranging from 10 to 15 per cent, advance average; faulty merinos Hold chietly to Continental Arms at from 5 to 71 per cent, advance. Good scoureds advanced 10 per cent., and faulty scoured* were irregular. Medium fine crosnbreds advanced from 5 to 10 per cent.; coal-He greasiea, slipes, and shabby Bcourcds were at par, with some irregularity.
