LORD JELLICOE'S REPORT
RECEIVED BY THE GOVERNMENT. • The Prime Minister has just received through His .Excellency the GovernorGeneral the report of Lord Jellicoo to the Nevr Zealand Government on the naval defence problem' of the Pacific with special reference to New Zealajid. Mr. Massey has not yet had time to read tho document, but lie understands that thero is a confidential report as well as the report in chief. If the document nr any part of it is to be published it will have to be published by being tabled in the House of Representatives. But bo< fore this can 1» done tho report will have to come before Cabinet for consideration, possibly for decision as to whether in tho interests of the defence of Now Zealand all or any part of it should be published.
