Sho left Tonga on March 24, and sinco that time she has never been reported. It was thouffht that she had been delayed by; exceptional calms, as other vessels travelling that route after the Lyman D. Foster reported making very long lassages. On the other -hand, the Scales barque Bona has Just completed the passase from Nukualofa, from whence the Lyman D. Foster sailed, to Sim Francisco in 53 days. She left the Tongan port on August 2, four months and nine days after the Lyman D. Foster, and reached Sail Francisco last Wednesday.

TRANSPACIFIC CARGO SERVICE. Tho Union Company advise, that tho steamer Wairuna is due at Auckland on October 6 from Melbourne nnd Sydney to discharge si large quantity of intercolonial cargo. Tho vessel will afterwards load New Zealand products .at Auckland for San Francisco and Vancouver, via. Papeete. There being no 'mall 6teamar from Audiland until early in November-for Vancouver, the Wairuna will thus supply the opportunity for shipments to be forwarded to the United States and Canada. It is hoped to dispatch the Wairuna from Auckland about October 11. The Waihorn, after being delayed in loading operations nt Lyttelton for several days by bad weather and a shortage of labour, licit that port oil Friday for Timaru for further loading. She will leave Timaru thjs week for Napier to complete her cargo, and will De dispatched from the Eawke's Bay port direct for Vancouver. KAUAMEA ARRIVES. The Sha-.v-Ssa.vill steamer Karamca arrived in port last evening from Auckland, lifter a passage of 59 hour:!. The vessel's arrival was delayed by heavy weather on tho East Coast. The bnrquentine Lauto, is loading at Auckland lor Newcastle. The Talune was expected to leave Suva yesterday with a load of fruit and sugar for Auckland. She is duo at the northern port on Saturday. The barque Mauurewa arrived at Vavau, Tonga, from Wanganui, on September 24. From Vavau she is to go to Niafou Island to load copra for San Francisco.
