The Horowhenua representative football team played a return match against tho Manawatu representative"; on the Palmernton North show grounds this afternoon. The Manaivatu team we.:o much weakened by oniergencies having to be included in the forwards. The game was a most Tagged one. Horowhenun had tho advantage of weisht among the forwards, while tho visitors' back division had also the stronger combination. .Although Manawatu were favoured with tho wind in tho first spell, they failed ti take full advantage of it, and the visitors had the best of the game throughout. There wan no score ilv- tho first spoilt and it was only a few minutes before time wa.s sounded that N. Wininla e.ro'sed the .line for Horowhenua. The score emanated from a series of lino-outs, n.n«I_ finnllv a serum near the homo team's .ine. The kick nt goal failed. The rune ended: Horowhenua, 3 points; Manawatu, nil.
