THE AJAN.V. The New Zealand and African Company have received documents for the Ajana, though up to the preseni, no definite advice has been received of the vessel's departure from England. The- laet notice the company had regarding the vessel was on July 50, -when eho left, Manchester for Liverpool. According to the Sydney "Shipping List," the Ajana left the United Kingdom on AugUßt 19 ldr New Zealand and Australia, via Panama. TAHITI LEAVES VANCOUVER. Tho Union Company have received advice that the Tahiti left Vancouver at 6 li.m. on Wednesday last ;or Wellington and Syduey. (She should reach port about October 5. CORINTHIO ARRIVES. The Shaw, Havill and Albion liner Corinthic arrived in the stream yesterday afternoon from London, via Panama. Sho is to berth at the Quecn'f Wharf at 7 a.m. to-day to disembark her troops, and this evening or to-morrow morning will proceed to Auckland to commence loading. She is scheduled to sail finally from Wellington on October 9.
TIIE ARGYLL3HIRE. The F. and S. steamer Argyllshirn, en route from Liverpool, ir expected to leave Sydney on October 5 for Auckland, She i-i due at Wellington about September 20, and from Uiis port will go on to Dim'cdin to complete her discharge. 6ho will then load in Now Zealand.
TO BERTH TO-DAY. Owing to the wajcraido workere insisting on live clear days from wharf to whart, the Kiveriua, from Sydney, was not berthed yesterday. The vessel left Sydney at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, and, strictly speaking, the five days expired at tliat hour last . night. Dut tlio waluraido workere also claimed the difference in Wellington and Sydney tiuie-a matter of two and a half hours—so Ihu vessel was not clcitr of the berthing embargo till 11.30 o'clock last night, sihe will now be berthed at 7 a.m. to-day. The Kuinara (Shaw, iSavill and Albion Company), at present discharging coal at Port Chalmers, is to leave,that port on Saturday for Bluff and Wellington to load. She is due here on October 4, and "will sail for Home-on October 9. TUB CITY OF.'WINCHESTER,. The A. and A. steamer City of Winchester arrived yesterday inonuug from Auckland, and Iβ lo berth at the Glasgow Wharf this morning to continue the discharge of her New I'orlc cargo. KARAMEA "DUE FRIDAY. The Shaw-Savill steamer Karamea, at present at Auckland, is duo at Wellington on Friday to continue her discharge. From Wellington she will go to New Plymouth, and will load there and at Waitara, Nel Bon, Wangauui, and Wellington. ZEALANDIO FOR LOADING. Tho Shaw-Savill steamer Zealandic Isto leave Wellington to-morrow afternoon or Thursday morning for 'l'imaru' to commenco loading. From 'l'imaru tho vessel will go to Napier and Auckland, sailing finally from tho last-mentioned port ou October 12.
THE AYRSHIRE. The F.'and S. steamer Ayrshire is now duo at Wellington on Friday to discharge 2100 tons of cargo. From this port sho will proceed on to Auckland and Sydney to complete. She will then come back to New Zealand to load.
THE TAINUI. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's Taiiiui is to- leave port to-morrow afternoon or Thursday morning to commence Homeward loading. She is scheduled to leave Wellington for London on October 7.
STEAMER HUIA CHANGES HANDS. The small steamer Huia, which has been lying idle in the stream at Wellington for a considerable -poriod, hae been sold to a New Plymouth company, of which Jlr. A. 0. Williams is managing director. The vessel is to bo placed on the slip and fitted with iron bulkheads to ensure safety In carrying benzine cargoes. Captain
M'Phcrson will have command of the vessel when blio is commissioned in. about llireo or four weeks' time, and Hγ. E, G. V. Zohrab will bo the local agent. It has not yet. been decided in which trade.the vessel will be employed.
