Sections of tho populace, oojecFing to the pan-Serbian confederation,' aro seeking refuge iu the mountains, from which they descend on pillaging expeditions. It is officially admitted that Belgradn is unable to deal with , the rebels, and it is asserted that ex-King Nicholas and; Italian agents are supplying them with munitions. Nicholas, who is still in α-e----fugo at Paris, in an interview, declared that ho was never treacherous to the Allied cause, but that lie intends to firiit aud regain his kingdom.—Aus.-N.Z.
