STEEL TRUST STRIKE

Reports have been received from dozens of cities, including Chicago, Calumet, Pittsburg, Birmingham, Now York, AY heeling, ond other steel district!?, indirating Hint more than half a mßlinn steel workers will he affected by the strike, which begins after midnight on SeptenAvr 21. Most of the organisers have cautioned the men as,iin?t violence. Thousands of deputies and special policemen have been sworn in in the affected districts Small disturbances have . occurred at Calumet, where tho organising' strikers stoned tho policemefl. , It is estimated that aliens of '28 nationalities, are among the strikers. Mr. Gary, of tho United Stales' Steel Corporation, refused to comment on the situation. According to a. message from Pittsburgh, Hie steel strikers' meetings were broken up at M'Kmi's Port, North Clairton, and Glassporfc.
