LETTER- OF THANKS FROM MAJORGENERAL CHAYTOR. 'Fho lion, secretary of the Advisory Board of the Federation of New Zealand Patriotic War Relief Societies has received the following .letter of thanks from Major-General Ohaytor, Commanding the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in Egypt :- "The following cablegram was dispatched to you on the sth'. inst.:—'Regimental funds are no longer required.' In'confirming this cablegram, I wish, on behalf of the Now Zealand ta'oops in Egypt, to thank your societies for their eenerous remittances. The funds have been greatly appreciated by the men,boinj; invaluable in. keeping them contented and healthy, more especially during tlio recent Egyptian unrest, when the troops were detained, and consequently in an unsettled frame of mind. Apart from these benefits, the more fact of the men knowing that their people in Now Zealand were sending monoy out to them has been a great stimulus to. them during tho lons years away from home. Please convey to your societies and to the Advisory Board my heartfelt thanks for their great help to tho troops."
