"GOODY TWO SHOES"
Tho principal charm of the J. C. Williamson pantomime this season lies in its appeal to the eye. The producers of "Goodv Two Shoes are not m tbo least concerned to tell a fairy, story, and of fairy lore there is little, though ot spectacle, brilliant and varied,,, there is much. Tho Wellington audience* that have so far attended have one and all seen very good reason ior applauding tho ingenuity with which their entertainment lias been planned. *° n f° J!" inembered aro tho joy kojdioi 'j'toed Wnltoiv, the Dame lutt ot Mr. Arthur Stigant, the amusing ways of little Miss Toby Claude, the beautiful 'l'ovland scene, and tho daring but hugely popular dances of Miss Jlaggio Dickensoitr -Madame Jewel's marionettes revive for the curious a form of entertainment that peculiarly arrests the fancy. At moments it is herd to believo that the runny little people of the puppet show are quite devoid of animation. Tho Ivenna Brothers' acrobatics "at the North Polo" are very entertaining. Tho play of lighting effects upon the stago in several parts of the pantomime deserves special mention. Particularly fascinating is tho whirling brilliance of tho huge mirror-covered sphere that is let down during ono of tho balleta. ilolidaymakers will have an opportunity. this afternoon, as well as this ovenfug, of seeing "Goody Two Shoes" performed asiaiu.
