MONSTER AMATEUR OOMPE TITIONS
At the Grand Opera House on Saturday next. matineß and evening, a series of amateur competitions for all classes of acta will bo held. The prizes are liberal and. promise to attract large numbers' of aspirants to theatrical fame. Tho competitions aro being held under experienced management, and conducted under strict supervision, and should provide unlimited fun. for both audienco and performers. A Charlie Chaplin best imitator competition will be> hold at both performances. The competitors already include all kinds of acts, and besides £i hisli-class vaudeville programme will bo presented. This class of entertainment has been the means of unearthing many world-known performers, and the talent available in our city has already shown itself to contnin many clsver and entertaining performers.
