September 18, 9.45 p.m.) Berlin, September 17. The German labour market is in a chaotic, state, and the decreasing purchasing value of the mark is creating a most serious condition. Although the German working man is. receiving ■ an average daily wage equivalent to six dollars thirty-five cents of American money,.as against the equivalent of one dollar twenty-nine cents before the "war, the purchasing power of his present wage equals only eighty-five cents of American money.—Aus.-N.Z.
