' A "GRAB" CAMPAIGN. ■ London, September 17.Mr. Tower, "The Times" correspondent at Berlin, reports that Germany is send-' ing a host of commercial travellers to the Argentine, and hopes to grab thetrado against America by, promising to absorb the' whole surplus production of wheat, meat, hides, and wool. .Americans living in Germany are being placated for trade reasons, the argument being that, as America suffered few casualties in tho war,. "Let us forgive and forget." On the other hand, French merchants are compelled to buy in. Germany, as it .is tho only place where tho frano is at a premium.—"The Times."
