RECENT STATEMENT DOUBTED
THE SITUATION IN ESTHONIA

Paris, September 17. Several British and French newspapers ■ challenge tho authenticity of the report that the Supreme Council has settled its attitude towards Russia.
The "Echo (le Paris" says that the report ft premature, and that no decision has heen reached. The American Delegation flatly denies that the question was even mentioned at the Council's meeting. Other -Delegations declare they ltnow nothing of the decision.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable fit was reported yesterday that the Supreme Council had come to a unanimous decision on the Russian question, and that the Great Powers intended to allow the Russian revolutionaries to work out their own snlvation.] ESTHONIA'NS WAR-WEARY Helsingfors, September 17. M Hanko, Esthonian Minister to Finlaud, says that the Estonians are tired of war, and aTe anxious to know the peace terms of the Soviet Government, but there is no certainly that these will result in peace.
