MR. MASSEY'S PROMISE. 'JT.lie Government has reached its decision regarding the gratuities," said tho Prime Minister in the House of Representatives yesterday. "In all probability the decision we have arrived.at will Iβ given to the House to-roorrow—if not tomorrow, certainly on Friday." Mr. 1 , . Frascr (Wellington Central) suggested that tho Government should pay a gratuity, not necessarily on the full eoale, to home-service men. Mr. Massey replied that tho point- had better wait until the proposals reached the Souse.
