On Saturday afternoon Francis, Williams, a returned soldier, aged 23, whilo riding a motor-cycle between Invercargill and Wyndhani, was thrown violently on the road, sustaining a f raetured skull. Ho died after an operation at the hospital. DROWNING ACCIDENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, September 15. Advice from Ponui Island states that J. Howard, a. married man, residing at M'arnell, fell from a launch and was drowned.
