SHELL-SHOCK CASES
TREATMENT OF AFFECTED MEN. By Teleuranh-Prcen Anodatlon. Gisbome, September 15. At a meeting of the.Citizens' Defence Committee it was reported that the Gisbome Labour Representation Committeo had discussed the treatment of j shellshock cases, and had passed the following resolution:—"That this meeting deplores the action of the authorities in sending a number of returned soldiers, namely, shell-shock cases, to a public, asylum, where their surroundings would greatly minimise their chances of recovery, and strongly urges that immediate steps be taken for tho establishment of special places throughout the Dominion for the treatment of affected men." The Citizens' Defence Committeo decided to communicate with the Minister, supporting tho Labour Committee's resolution.
