ASSISTED PASSAGES
FIANCEES OF NEW ZEALAND SOLDIERS. Instructions issued by Headquarters, New Zealand Military Forces. state that bona fido fiancees of New Zealand soldiers will bo granted assisted passages from the United Kingdom to New Zealand under the following conditions, tuo New Zealand Government ■contributing MQ towards the cost tor all classes of passages :~ Both parties certify that the lady for whom application is mnde for an assisted passage is the bona Mo fiancee of tho soldier making tho application. Tho lady's certificate will be lodged with the High Commissioner for Now Zealand, London, before the passage is granted. • , The soldier's certificate will be lodged with the Immigration Department, to whom all applications will be addressed. The Government accepts no responsibility for cost of transportation of fianceo from .port of disembarkation to homo. ' ~.,,.. Port of disembarkation is determined by tho New Zealand Government. No application will be considered unless presented on or beforo December 31, 1919. In tho case of a soldier located in tuo United Kingdom at the time of the application, or of a soldier discharged in New Zealand, who returns to f(ie United Kingdom, and desires to obtain an assisted passage to New Zealand for his fiancee, the application will bs mnde to tho High Commissioner for Now Zealand, London. Tho marriage should take place beforo the parties leave tho United Kingdom, failing which no Government contribution will lie payablo until proof of marriage is received after tho arrival of tlie parties in New Zealand.
