Reference was also made to Ihe evi. dent lack of a- policy in regard to fostering junior cricket, which it is recognised is so essential to Ihe vital interests of the sport. In this connection it w pointed out that, the junior c'.iihs have a duty to discharge, anil, in appointing their delegates to the association, tliey should impress upon them the necessity of taking a more activ? interest in the constitution of the association, at the annual general meeting. The prospects lor the ensuing season are considered very bright, and it was decided to c-nter a team for the senior championship (subject to the entry being aeccplcd bv the association) in addition to two teams in the iur,ioi; grades. A trophy donated by Mr. B. L. Snlinon for the best, all-round player for the season was awarded to W. Warne. Practice i& to commence as socn as grounds are available. -
