Department, should revise and increase the salaries of the officials engaged in the important duties ot preparing the rolls for tho coming elections, namely, tho temporary staff for tho Registrars receive a fixed inclusive 6um? The intricacies of the work aro such that at least some degree of education is required by those acting. Yet the Government rate of pay is only. 12s. fid. por day, which in these days of high cost of living cannot bo regarded as fair or adequate reniuneuation for tho sorviccs rendorcd.-I am, etc.,i ' '.
