COMPREHENSIVE LEGISLATION DESIRED. Motor rcguinlions wcro amongst the subjects discussed at yesterday's sitting of tho municipal associations conference. A long remit on tho question brought down by tho Hawera Borough Council, vtifi, alter amendment, passed as follows: "That in view of tho numerous accidents and fatalities due to motor order to efficiently control such traffic." and its attendant accidents «re rapidly increasing.- urgent representation be mado to the Government; to at once pas 3 legislation of a comprehensive nature in order to efficiently control such traffic." It was also resolved to urge that every borough council should be a registering authority, irrespective of population.
