$_ , MEETING OF WELLINGTON CENTRE. A meeting of the Wellington Bowling Centre was held on Tuesday evening, Mr. Gr. Hendry presiding. An offer to top-dress two of the Wellington greens was (received from Mr. J. P. Smith, oj Napier. It wns resolved to thank Mr. Smith for his offer and to oiroularise the Wellington clubs on th& matter. If more {tan'two olubs want their greens done the centre will dwtdo which two shall have the benefit of Mr. Smith's services. Mutters concerning rules and constitu* tion. were considered in committee. Dr. Rusk, - an international howler, whoi recently epent some time in Wellington, sent to the president a lettet thanking him, and the executive' of tjlveWellington Centre, for tho hospitality and many acts of hindnesa shown him. while here. Tho writer also expressed his gratitude to the, president of the Wellington Bowling Club for the present of a portrait of tlio New Zealand team of bowlers whioh visited tho Old Country in 1901. '
