EX-GERMAN LINERS
-* : HOW THEY ARE DISTRIBUTED. London, September 9. Llovds Register shows the distribution of forty-three ex-Geraan liners of over 10.000 tons, as follows:—United States Shipping Board, sixteen; United States Navy, nine; British Shipping Controller, six; Italy, two; Brazil, one; unallotted, nine. The fact that the United States Shipping Board has already changed the names of fourteen ships* suggests that they have become permanently American. There are some hopes that the liners'allocated to the United States Navy mav return to European control. Nine shins which have been taken over since tho armistice have not been. allotted. The liners include the Hamburg-Ameri-can ship Bismarck (58,000 tons), and the Norddeutscher Lloyds Columbus (35,000 tons).—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assu.
