GROUP 5 ORDERS. Group orders issue<l yesterday slate that instructors who liavn qualified in physical training will bo taken on the strength of Territorial units and granted tho rank of sergeant. •The n.c.o.'s class, which has been held at tho Garrison Hall, Buckle Street, on Wednesday evenings, will cease as from August 27. Owing to September 22, 1919, being a puiblic holiday, there will not bo any training. Company officers are responsible for the training of their n.c.o.'s:, and when they consider them lit for examination Group Headquarters will be informed and arrangements will be made for. the examination to take place. The examination for corporals will be practical and oral, and on tho following 1 subjects :—Physical training, as for firstyear Cadets. Table'l and II (pages 31 and 35, Cadet syllabus). Musketry, as for first-year Cadets (page 25, Cadet syllabus). June exercices, sijiiad drill with arms. Paragraphs 47 to 73, Infantry Training. Squad drill—squad drill without arms. Paragraphs 12 to 4G, Infr.ntry Training. i'or sergeants, in addition to the above, five written questions on musketry taken from subjects included in first-year Cadets training, and fivo written questions on squad drill with and without arms. Lecturelte, five subjects will be given from thoso laid down for secoud-year Cadets in syllabus, and candidate will select any one of tho five he wishes. Tho attention of all officers is directed to musketry course instructions, 1919-20, which have been issued. A staff sergeant-major will attend at tho miniature range, Garrison Hall, Bucldo Street, every Saturday afternoon (except September 13), from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., to carry out musketry course of Cadets under 16 years of age.
