ACTION BY NEW SOUTH WALES • DAIRY CONFERENCE. Sydney, September 4. A deputation reprosenting tho dairying industry urged Mi. Ashford (Minister for-Lands) to take action.with regard to the conservation, of pine forests, as Japanese timber had been found to be unsuitable for butter-boxes, and in order that,when New Zealand supplies are cut off, there will be stocks to draw on. Mr. Ashforcl promised assistance.—Press Assn.
