Paris, September. 2.. Twelve villages in tho ltiviera (tho coastal district in the extremo south-east of. France, in the neighbourhood of Nice) are encompassed by a forest firo, and tho towns of Grasse' and Antibes two threatened. Tho peoplo have left the hotels at the seaaido resorts, and are taking refuge on-the beach. : Tho fiainus have destroyed the splendid district of La Vendau, including M.
