SALE OF WORK

T'lid Brooklyn Presbyterian Church yesterday held ii sale of work in aid of tho Sunday School and Bible Class Building li'und. Tho sale was opened at Fullford's Hall by -Mr. Hv. \V, Kersley iu the presence of a' large attendance. Mr. Kersley complimented .tiie ladies on the hue display on l.lia various stalls, which afforded ample evidence of their practical interest in the yumig people of the church. Ho also referred to tho imi portance of church work amongst young people, and stressed the good results that must accrue to provide adequate accommodation for their use. Mr, and Mrs. Kersley then visited the various stalls, and gavo tangible proof of their interest in tho work.

A feature of the eale' was the holding of a baking competition, Mrs. and' Miss Kerrey being the judge*. The results i\iy as follow:—Adults: Scones, Mrs. Hibby; shortbread, Mrs. Hitt; sponge, Mrs, Wakeham; special prize, Miss Hodsitiij small cakes, Airs. Taylor. Children under 14 years: Scones, jUivina M'Kally; special prize, Eileen Leonard; sponge, liita Kirker; small cake, Alice Cockrolt. There was a large attendance again in the evening, when an concert was given. Items were contributed by Misses Sola, Harter, and Picthall. A display of club-swinging and brass-rod manipulation was given by Miss Hamsun.
