SHOCKING TRAIN ACCIDENT
PASSENGER IN6TANTLT KILLED. it Teltemph— Vntt Auoclntloa Hokitika, September 2. A fatal accident occurred on the Hoki-tika-Ross railway this afternoon. When n train was leaving Mananui station, Biehard Harding, aged 67,' ft passenger from Hokitika, who had got out, attempted to get on the moving twin, and waa dragged between tie carriages. • He was shockingly-mutilated, death being instantaneous. Deceased was n. widower, working at a Euatapu sawmill; _ He leaves a grown-up family, a eon reeiding at Timnru and two daughters at Bluff.
