The new totalisator house on,the Masterton racecourse, which is iifti'ring completion, contains over thirty windows, and is situated on- the site formerly occupied by the people's stand. Under the auspices of the Progressive League, an operatic concert is to 3>o held in the Masterfon Opera. House to-mor-row night. The programme includes selections from (he most popular comic operas, and an opportunity is to be taken of making a presentation to Mr. E. J. Young, who is leaving the district, and who was. until recently, president of the Progressive League.
