ABRUPT ADJOURNMENT OF MEN'S CONFERENCE. (Rec. September 2, 9.13 p.m.) Melbourne, September 2. The Seamen's Conference, which was held in private, terminated abruptly, and was adjourned till to-morrow, it is believed, in order to enable Senator Milieu to endeavour to settle the wharf labourers' dispute. Senator Millen interviewed the wharf labourers' representative, but the result is not known.—Press Assn. ■
