The snow cleared up shortly after 9 o'clock, when fully two inches of snow had fallen. The snow was followed by rain, with intermittent Snow showers. The sudden change in tho weather conditions will detrimentally affect the ninny outdoor gatherings Arranged in connection with tho visit of H.M.S. New Zealand. Very little information is obtainable from the country districts to-night, but it is understood that tho 6iiowfall has been heavy.
