GERMAN PRISONERS
REPATRIATION TO BE BEGUN.
Piris, August 29. Tho Supreme Council, from humanitarian motives, has decided to begin tho repatriation of German prisoners without awaiting tho ratification of the Peace Treaty.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. (Rec. August 31, 11.5 p.m.) Paris, August 30. The first batch of a thousand German prisoners in British hands in France are leaving for Germany to-day. The daily dispatoh will augment this to six thousand, provided the necessary German trains are arranged. The newspapers believe the Entente in return for the preseut concession will insist on the German evacuation uf Upper Silesia.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn. "STEP IN RECONCILIATION OF NATIONS." (Rec.
