SOUTHERN MARKETS
• By TeleeraDh—Press Association. Christchurch, August 29. The wheat market is quiet and will probably remain so till the end of the season or till the railway restrictions are removed. There is a fair quantity held by fanners, mostly Tuscan, which millers do not seem anxious to handle. The Government will take all of it at the end of October at Gs. 9d. Oats are offering ■ more freely and the market shows a weaker tendency; The same remarks apply to ,chafF. Little barley is "offering, and there is no change • in values.! /
