( , Indications are_for a continuance ol cloudy and unsettled weather, according to the Government Meteorologist. Further rain ■is probable generally, and heavy rain and rivers Hooded in the cast coast districts of the North'lsland and in tho north-east districts of the South Island. The barometer is falling, but is expected to rise again shortly.
