Fisher challenges the accuracy, and demands documentary proofs of, Mr. Arthur Henderson's statements regarding the Ambassadorship to R.iisisia, cabled on August 23, which iB provoking increasing attention in the newspapers, coupled with demand for a 'Government explanation.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn. [Mr. Arthur Henderson declared that in connection ivith his visit to Russia in 1917, the Cabinet authorised, him to replace tho Ambassador at Petrogratl at a salary of .£BOOO. He had ascertained that Cabinefs dissatisfaction with the Ambassador was due to a misapprehension—ho therefore refused the post, and subsequently resigned from Cabinet Ministership at <25000 i a year, rather than sacrifice his principles.]
