It is attributed to various causes, partly tho enormous quantity of paper money abroad, including one hundred "million sterling in Switzerland and smaller eiuris in Scandinavia and Holland, due to the unauthorised purchases, combined with the exportation of private Gorman capital in order, to avoid ■ taxation,—"The Times.".-
