GEOLOGICAL SECTION. Tho annual meeting of the Geological Section of tho AVellington Philosophical Society was held in the Domiuioit Museum 'Building last evening, Mr. P. G. Morgan presiding. Dr. J. A. Thomson read a paper entitled "A Study of a New Zealand Limpet," a species of shell fish having a conical-shaped shell and compionly found clinging to rocks on the sea beach. Ho dealt with the different varieties of limpets. and by specimens illustrated their peculiar and varying shell formation and characteristics concerning their organism?. A paper entitled "Bomo geological Observations in the Hatuma District, Ilawke's Bay," was supplied by Mr. E. K. Lonias. The election of officers resulted .as follvWti —Chairman. Mr. G. H.
