TRANSPORT MAMARI ARRIVES
EXPECTED TO BERTH TO-DAY. (fc Telegraph—Presß Association.) ' Auckland, August 10. The transport Mamari, with 1066 men of all ranks, arrived in the harbour tonight. The Defence authorities have recoived advice that ono soldier on board cpntrncted influenza in a mild form on July 14. There are also eight cases of mumps. It is not considered that the shin will have to be quarantined, and she will probably berth at 9 a.m. tomorrow. Men for stations between Marton and Mercer, and all South Island will loave by special trainat 3 p.m. tomorrow if the Mamari is allowed to berth.
