UNSETTLED WEATHER
The weather outlook is unsettled, states the bulletin of the Meteorological Department. Present indications are for stroll" and variable winds, with westerlies prevailing and backing to southorlics north of Cook Strait; north-east to south-east winds elsewhere. Unsettled, cloudv, and misly weather may be expected, with rain generally, and further heaw rain about Cook Strait and in tho East" Coast and southernmost districts of the South Island, and snow in the higher levels.
