TARANAKI IRON SAND
'AUSTRALIA N CAPITALISTS . INTER BSTED. ; By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, August 15. The "Press'" states that it is understood the negotiations connected with the development of' the Parapara iron ores and the iron sands of Taranaki have recently reached a liiove or '.ess definite stage, consequent upon Australian capitalists, or their representatives, baring shown some' practical and direct 'interest in,-the matter. It is understood that a representative of some Australian capitalists has indicated that his- principals are willing io consider proposals for taking over the whole of the concessions in respect to I'arapara and Taranaki, iron OTe and ?and deposits. The proposals include the provision of capital amounting to £2,500,080.
