General D, J. M'Gavin, Director-Gen-eral of .Medical Services, has 'been appointed a member of tho Board of Public Health.
Mr. G. B. Bullock, the newly-appoint-ed superintendent of the New Zealand Shipping Company, who has been on a visit to Australia, is expected to leave Newcastle for Wellington to-dny by the Essex.
Advice has been received 'by cablegram that Gunner Graeme M'Cnul, N.Z.F.A., formerly well known in Wellington tennis circles, is returning to New Zealand by tho troopship llororata, due hero about September 20.
Mr. J. Scott, who for the past two years has filled the office of clerk of court at Waipawa, has received an appointment in tho Public Trust Office, Wellington.
After four .years' active service with the New Zealand 'Mounted. Hides, Major T. C. Jebsnn, of Sheffield, lias returned to New Zealand. Major Jebson, who was formerly a lieutenant in C Squadron of the CA'.C, is a son of the oldest resident of tho Sheffield district, from which 91 soldiers went on service.
