MANY APPLICATION'S FOR APPOINTMENT. Over 200 applications have been , received by General Headquarters from officers witVi war experience fov ■ positions on tho New Zealand Staff Corps, This is in response to the announcement recently maito that officers of the Expeditionary Force would he eligible for appointment to tlio vacant positions in tho Staff Corps. Tho pre-war strength of Hie Staff Corps was 112, and . tho vacancies now existing number -K. ' ' It lias been announced already that selected applicant;; will bo required to undergo a fe=l: course of training in Trentham. .Camp before final appointments are made. No officer who fail; to prove his efficiency in o;n»p will receive appointment. The course will commence in October.
