Auckland, August: 11, In his chargo to the Grand Jury at Hie opening- of tho Supremo Court criminal sessions, Mr. Justice Chapman made special reference to a case in which a father is charged with bringing #Imut the death of his child. He siiki tho chargo was justified b.v the evidence. Tho hoy had contracted a bad habit, but instead of securing for tho boy medical attention, nccustd treated him personally, plunging hint into cold water with cowardly harshness, which caused the boy to run away and get into a very dirty and weak condition. Tho boy eventually died from tetanus.
