Respecting the case of the soklior with two broken arniß who, it was alleged recently, was left unattended for a wholo month., the local Returned Soldiers' Asso. ektion received yesterday a telegram from the Commissioner of Tensions ask. ing for the soldier's number for the purpose of investigation. His name is Malcolm M'Creiidy; and he enlisted at Whangnrei in 1916. [A telegram from Whakatane published on Wednesday stated that a sensational case of af.legpd of a soldier camo before the Returned Soldiers' Association, and was referred to the Auckland branch. It was allied that the soldier broko both his arms, and was left in camp to shift for himself for a whole month, unlwndaged. He was refused a pension, and had no doctor and no nursing.]
