LOWER HUTT MAGISTRATE'S COURT
MONTHLY SITTING. Mr. B. Page, S.M., presided over the monthly sitting of the Lower Hutt Court yesterday. T. Hubbard, T. Omerod, and B. Williams were each fined 405., with cents 75., for failing to drive their cms on the right side of the road. C. Bart and W. F. M'Gowan were each fined. His., with costs 75., for failing to carry lights on their cars. Failure to carry tail lights on their cars cost G. Baker, A. Barnes, P. Farley, and G. A. Waddell 10s. each with 7s. costs, and for oarrying dazzling headlights A. E. Brown, F. Everton, and A. J. Ferguson were each lined a similar amount. Allowing stock to wander cost Mrs. Dag6from, G. G. Martin, and W. Strand 10s. each, with costs 7s„ J. Bradley 40s. and costs 7s„ and P. J. Bell <s. casts. W. Askwith was'found guilty on three charges, was fined £Z for haririg used obscene language,. 15s. (cost of repairs) for damaging a bicycle, and ;f'l and I4s. costs for breaking his prohibition order. For having sold cigarettes" to a hoy under the age of 16 years, Eric Hill was fined 10s. and costs. The boy nas placed on probation for six months. CIVIL CASES. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following undefended cstes: P. Greenfield v. G. H. Huut, .1:2 2s. 9d., costs 10s.; Lower Hutt B»:\r.igh Council v. A. if. Baggs, M 2s._ Hi., cists 55.; James Skennington v. W. Kcpa, J;5 5«. 6t1., costs las.
